Kate graduated from the University of Otago and completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Prior to medicine, she taught at the University of Otago between 1999 and 2006. She has a Masters in Physiology, which had a focus on Reproductive Endocrinology. Following her fellowship training, she has worked in the public and private sector. Kate was Medical Director for Fertility Associates Dunedin between 2017 and 2022 and joined the Intus Group in 2022.

Kate is involved in all aspects of Gynaecology and Obstetrics but has a special interest in advanced laparoscopic and hysterscopic surgery, infertility, recurrent miscarriage, endometriosis, pelvic pain, uterine fibroids/polyps and ovarian pathology. She is dedicated to helping women find an optimal management plan through a team approach of support, guidance, education, and excellence.

Kate consults in Dunedin, Invercargill, Cromwell, Wanaka and Queenstown. She operates at Intus Dunedin, Mercy Hospital in Dunedin and Southern Cross Hospitals in Invercargill and Queenstown.
