Craig is a Colorectal Surgeon practicing at Intus Specialist Health Care in Christchurch, as well as the Sydney Adventist Hospital in Sydney and the Epworth Hospital in Melbourne.
He has extensive experience managing Colorectal Cancer, in particular using a minimally invasive approach with both laparoscopic and robotic surgery, being the first to perform robotic colorectal surgery in Australasia in 2009.
He has experience managing advanced and recurrent pelvic cancer, and peritoneal disease, performing both HIPEC and PIPAC.
He also has an interest in the minimally invasive management of haemorrhoids and fistula disease.
Craig completed his General Surgical Fellowship in Christchurch, New Zealand, with post-fellowship training at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, and St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne.
He is an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor at the Australian National University, holds a Master’s degree in surgery and has published over 120 peer-reviewed manuscripts. He is a Fellow of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand and International Fellow of the American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons.
He is on the Board of Governors of ELSA (Endo-Lap Surgeons of Asia), and a Founding Board Member of APELS (Asia Pacific Endo-Lap Surgery Group), founded to promote and teach laparoscopic and endoscopic surgical skills throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
