Cancellation & Non-Attendance

At Intus Specialist Health Care, we understand that sometimes our patients may need to cancel or reschedule their appointments. We want to make this process as easy and transparent as possible, while also ensuring that we can continue to provide high-quality services. Therefore, we have established the following cancellation policy which is designed to treat our patients with fairness and respect:

  • You may cancel or reschedule your appointment with us up to 48 hours before the scheduled appointment time without penalty.  

  • If cancellation or rescheduling is necessary, we ask that you let us know at your earliest convenience by phoning 03 977 5977. 

  • If an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee up to 70% of the value of the cancelled appointment may be charged.  

  • If you do not attend your appointment or notify us of the need to cancel or reschedule the appointment, you may be charged the full appointment fee.  

  • If you have private insurance, or are receiving care funded by ACC, it is important that you understand their policy on non-attendance and cancellation.  

  • All late cancellation or non-attendance fees will be charged directly to you. 

  • Payment by your insurer or ACC will be at their discretion and will be your responsibility to arrange.  We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather, illness, or technical difficulties. We will make every effort to notify you as soon as possible.
