Covid-19 - Patient and Referrer Information
In light of the current situation with COVID-19 please find here an update on what we at Intus are doing.
We are open and here to help you.
To our patients, with the move to Level 3 we are now able to offer consultations, treatments and endoscopy services on site.
Our biggest priority is the health and safety of our community, patients and staff. We are following all Ministry of Health daily updates and implementing their guidance for health professionals. We have implemented increased cleaning and infection control measures and have practices in place to ensure social distancing.
We will continue to offer telephone or video consultations for anyone in New Zealand with our specialists as required. In the current situation, we are able to see new patients without a GP referral.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns you have, we are happy to discuss your particular circumstances and the best next steps for you.
We believe that it will be our actions as a community that will help us all manage through this situation and we need you, our patients, colleagues and contractors to help us play our part in doing that.
Immunosuppressant medication & COVID-19 - Information for GPs and patients
These are complex matters and it is advisable to phone Intus to speak to the clinician who has been treating your condition.
You can find here important information on the implications of coronavirus (COVID-19) for patients with gastrointestinal (gut and liver) disorders, especially those on immunosuppressants (like Azathioprine, Infliximab etc.).
On our information sheet you will find facts and recommendations, largely based on available information, literature and guidance (e.g. societies and WHO), but also our own personal view.
